SLE acceptance emails are going out!

I applied to SLE and NASS in January, I haven't heard back from either, there is the "official" cut-off date, but how late would last-minute acceptance letter be submitted? Also is there any way to update SAT scores for NASS? SLE has the whole portal system, so updating is easy.
I just got my NASS acceptance email today (I am declining, it conflicts with finals week and both of the SA summer programs I already committed to), the cut off for Navy isnt until April I think. I think if there isnt an easy portal for Navy to change your scores like there is for USMA, and you didnt send a score report to the Naval academy directly from the SAT, you should email admissions. If you cant find the email for admissions I can give it to you over direct message.

Thanks, I've been sending them emails but got nothing back. So far I have heard nothing from the academy other than the confirmation that I sent my application. I'm not worried, just curious and a little anxious. I assume that I'll get my answer in the form of a standard email, I was just wondering because West Point confirmed my status via the portal, I was just wondering if Navy was the same.

You may want to check the portal for SLE...My daughter logged in tonight and she received her declination on the front page via a PDF file. She still hasn't received and email from USMA but she was definitely declined. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear that, I checked last week and got my PDF of declination as well. Luckily I plan to take this in stride and my BGO and current cadets say to that this does not mean that you are a poor candidate and that you should continue to apply. Best of luck to your daughter!

Being declined from SLE does not affect your application to USMA. My DD applied to SLE mid Feb 2016 but was not accepted. She then applied and got accepted at USCGA's AIM program (similar to SLE) so she could experience the life of a cadet student even just for a week. Before school ended, DD worked on her 4 essays and talked to her teachers and counselor regarding her interest in applying to USMA as advised by her FFR. Counselor provided DD with her official transcript in a sealed envelop and mailed it to West Point. DD also submitted her SAT and ACT scores. When DD's portal opened in July, she completed what had to be done and before end of the month, she got a call from FFR for an interview and few days later, she received her LOA from West Point in the mail. So tell your DD to hang in there and continue to improve her academics, get involve in varsity sports, volunteer work, and leadership roles to school organizations as well as train for the CFA, Also, keep on retaking SAT and ACT.
