I know that the application does not open until the 15th, but does anyone know what it might look like so I can be prepared when the time comes.
Hi I saw your response and I was wondering if you think attending SLE makes a difference when applying. I am newly learning about West Point, also a girl and junior, and I'm not sure what I should get involved with besides academics to increase my chances of getting in.There is a set of minimums, and being below these minimums will usually prevent a candidate from being able to open a file. Scores slightly above these minimums may cause a file to be closed until scores are brought up. Sometimes these files are never opened again. It all depends on the WCS, which nobody knows exactly how to calculate except for those in Admissions.
I do not know what these minimums are, but West Point’s average SAT/ACT scores for admitted candidates are included in the class profiles.
West Point will use the PSAT for early evaluation ONLY. When you open up your portal, you will see that there is a note in there that says that. Try and take a standardized test as soon as you can.
Good luck, and go Army!!!
