Hi I will be attending SLE session 1 this summer and I will be flying over to Newark, but when I was creating my travel plans I noticed that it said to make sure you plan your departure for after 1400 hours. I only have two options to catch a flight one is at around 1430 and the other around 1600. My question is would I be able ti make the earlier flight of the two without missing the closing ceremony, because the later flight is more expensive by about 163 dollars.

The instructions pdf says to schedule flights "departing newark after 2 pm." Since your flight departs at 2:30 pm, it sounds fine, but you may want to call sle folks to get the exact time the ceremony ends and shuttles leaves and stuff like that.

If the instructions tell you not to plan your departure until after 1400, then the 1430 flight will work.

If I recall correctly, the closing ceremony ended at 1000-1030ish and they started loading the shuttle buses to the airports right after that.
