Drop-off time for SLS is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. What do the people that get there early do while waiting for the last people to check in?

I'm still confused as to where we're getting dropped off. The instructions first say that there is parking right inside Thayer Gate, but then say to get dropped off by Clinton field. The instructions also say the reception center is in the barracks. These places are very far apart. I'll be dropped off by car, but can anyone from last year tell me where I should be going?
