So There’s A Game Today...

Sorry folks. ND grad here. Lots of respect for the academy teams but have to root for the Irish.
 
Actually there are two games today. Unfortunately, CGA fell to MMA in a shootout.
 
O.M.G. Navy should have just stayed home and saved everyone the trouble. I've moved on to Duke vs Syracuse, in which game I have divided loyalties.

A bit of a long story... I grew up 50 miles from Syracuse so when I was a kid I rooted for them. I've lived down the road from Duke the last 35 years when I fell in love with ACC basketball. I root for Duke because they ain't Carolina and that way I can smack talk to most folks around here. So I actually have a pecking order, Duke, Syracuse and then UNC.... unless Syracuse is playing Duke and then it gets hard. In basketball I root for the team that needs the win to get to the big dance.

I live 35 miles away from SU. My son and I used to go to a few games a year. He played against Buddy Boeheim ... We are Duke fans after SU too - like Coach K. My son wanted to go to Duke in junior high.
 
Ya know I placed my first internet bet ever on this game. C-note/Navy to cover. I don't care about the$ so much; thought it would add to the game Exp. I guess it did----------------------- for the first 5mins.

If I bet, I bet against my team. They win, what’s money. They lose, at least I made some money.
 
Ouch. My brother, an USNA graduate from the 1970's and airline pilot has flown this charter in the past. Not this year, unfortunately.
 
Like I said I am a newbie at this. My intention was to that NAVY beat the spread-----win, or lose by less than 7 pts. Guess I shoulda said beat.

I absolutely agree I would never bet against my team (in this case Navy).

Seems like this stuff might be kinda fun.
