Space X, Launch America

Glad I got to watch the monkeys in space, followed by Alan Shepard, John Glenn, Apollo 8 orbit the moon at Christmas while reading from Genesis, the challenge of Apollo 13, the shuttle launches, and today the Dragon launch today. Today brought a tear of pride to my eye.

It was awesome - folks were cheering on the beach and the rumble was breathtaking. I had chills watching it! So glad the weather cleared to catch a glimpse of history!

Watching a manned space launch in person is on my bucket list. I get choked up watching them on TV.

I was so nervous, so excited, I couldn't even stay seated the last 45 seconds I was up and pacing. It was amazing. And watching the falcon land itself before the dragon was even in orbit? I mean government spends our money, not wisely most of the time. And finally, years later than it should have happened, public and private partnership turned into this great success. A reusable rocket, a sleek and comfortable capsule. Imagine what is to come! I too, had a tears in my eyes and goosebumps. Awesome day for America.
