SPQR

"SPQR is an initialism from a Latin phrase, Senatus Populusque Romanus ('The Senate and People of Rome'." Wikipedia

To clarify my question - I inadvertently transposed the letters in my earlier post: in reviewing the qualifications for being named to the Superintendent's and Dean's lists, Midshipmen need to have an SQPR of at least 3.4 . . .
Can't remember what SQPR stands for: something, something Performance Rating?

"SQPR" is USNA code for semester GPA (semester quality performance rating or something. I can't remember off the top of my head). "CQPR" is cumulative quality performance rating.

Semester Quality Performance Rating -- if memory serves (and it may not).

And there was CPQR -- Cumulative QPR

Hurricane is right on translation of QPR.

S/C QPR = Semester/Cumulative Quality Point Ratio

Supe's/Deans List Eligibility criteria are contained within the instruction and transmittal. I can't recall if that is the latest metrics being used and since the instruction was signed by ADM Larson, not sure if it is still accurate (I'm surprised this instruction hasn't been reviewed/updated more recently).
