Squadron Assignments?

No assignment either...
I heard that the parent association would be sending out info since the new candidate portal has complicated the whole application process this year, but I can't verify that's true.

I do know that, during the Senior Commanders Call yesterday evening, our addresses may not be available until I-day. We will, according to the video at 15:20, call home and let them know our P.O. Box. Not sure about squadrons though.

My guess is that they will send out the squadron and PO Box information soon. The actual report time on I-day is correlated to your squadron. I've never heard of them not giving out the PO Box/address information after arrival. I think what the bigger issue is the travel information for those not accompanying their cadet.

DS is a Flying Tiger but report time is still 7:45. He is an IC and had a medical waiver so that is probably why he must be there early.

Yes, last year we were told all IC had the early reporting time, regardless if there was a waiver or not.

Also, just a heads up there was an IC breakfast, on the "patio" right above where they checked in. We were unaware of the breakfast until that morning or the night before, but it was a nice way to meet some other parents from the different teams.

YAY -finally here! My DS is in Aggressors: report time 0725-0745..not an athlete or w/ a waiver. Yes, get that day started!!

Yes, medical waiver cadets are a "check on entry" typically so they were first for our year anyway. Two upsides.....you avoid the long line of cars at drop-off (not a big deal but when there are lots of nerves, I would guess that wait can seem long for some) and many of the media photos are of the first group to process - so if your cadet is in that group, you might catch them in the photos/videos put out by the academy.
