Has anyone had their SRAR (Self Reported Academic Record) accepted by USAFA? It is optional this year - they are testing it out. I submitted about a week ago and was just curious how long it took to be accepted.

Took about 5 days for my Dd’s to update

Just curious because I don't currently have a child in the application process...
Is the SRAR in place of an official transcript?
Is it intended to temporarily check a box until a transcript after the 7th semester of high school is complete?

To my knowledge, the SRAR is not in place of an official transcript - although you need your transcript to complete it. They even state that you should list the class exactly as it is on your transcript. It is a platform for students to self report - maybe this will be what they use in the future. Not sure at this point as not all colleges use it. You can enter middle school courses taken that you get high school credit for - that could be beneficial to some students. Many schools are testing out at this point and some don't use at all - depends on the school. This could be a "leveling" field for all schools as different high schools report different items on their transcripts.

I believe the language my DD had stated this was specifically to pilot the SRAR program.

My SRAR just updated in the portal after 17 days. It is an optional but recommended item for candidates to complete after they submit their kit. I would expect to see this become a must-do item in the near future as it grows in popularity in the coming years. TAMU has been using the system for a few years now.

Since I know many have a Nov 1st date, I figured it helps to bump this to the top of the forum with my SRAR info. It has been 9 days and no green check mark. SRAR website definitely shows it was linked. Team Blue said that all information is manually reviewed in the order it is received, so I expect October has been a REALLY busy month!

Update for those interested: the SRAR magic green check mark appeared on day 11 or 12.
