Still in the game

I feel like at this point in the game they must be onto the National Pool. Can anyone confirm my suspicion?

Getting close but a lot of congressional primary appointees haven't been slotted yet either.

I would suggest that you have your candidate call his/her Representative's or Senator's Academy Coordinator and see if their slates have been charged with any appointments yet.

That might help your piece of mind one way or another.

My DS has said all along he will reapply next year if he doesn't get in this year! Ugh....just the thought of going through this again makes me more anxious for him to get in this year! Plan B is a very good in-state school, reasonable cost, excellent reputation. He didn't get an NROTC scholarship, so unless some schools are very generous with academic scholarships, PLAN C, D, AND E are nadda.

Don't over think it...

I love this group, and also stalk several times a day - as we get closer to the April 15th deadline, more of our true thoughts and feelings are coming out and I so appreciate everyone sharing! We really do have a connection like no other!

As we get closer, we can drive ourselves crazy trying to figure it out or justify why it's taking so long - understandable because we are all caring, involved parents. But consider this practice for the years ahead, especially if your child is connected with the military through a SA or ROTC - this is only ONE of MANY times that we don't have a reason, it just is. We have no control, can't speed up the process, and have no control over the outcome - our only role is to help celebrate (hopefully) of get in damage-control mode and help our child navigate the disappointment (hopefully not now, but eventually there will be big disappointments in one way or another).

We're still waiting with youngest DS...and yesterday celebrated with older DS who got his first choice for summer cruise/training (the first summer that has happened, and he will be a firstie).

The role of parent changes so much with a mid/cadet - we embrace it fully, but like the admissions process it is a ride like no other! And the pride we feel is something that can't be contained!

Each day brings the renewed excitement that today might be the day - that's what keeps up going here in SC :)

Once again no TWE no BFE in NY. Until tomorrow......good luck mailbox stalkers.

I have my fingers crossed, my toes crossed and am doing a dance while standing on one leg to a lucky Irish jig... all in hopes that it helps you all. As a mom of four I can totally relate to the angst we feel for our children going through this process...I read with anticipation your posts everyday and am hopeful for good news !! :thumb:

Having been away on spring break, I'm dreading returning to school Sunday and not being able to check my mail till Monday, it will be difficult, but I'll be there when it opens at 0730!

Obsession has reached a new level...

Note to self...don't get caught up 'just quickly checking' the forum while making a grilled cheese sandwich :(

Laughter (even at self) is the best medicine!

Good Morning Fellow Mailbox Stalkers, I just want to wish you all luck today...it just feels like something has to start happening soon...i mean...it has been really dead for the last few days....fingers crossed it is good news! Keep us posted!
