Summer Seminar notification date

Hi, congrats on being accepted for Session A! I got into session C. You initially requested a virtual. I got the virtual session, but it would be perfect if I could swap for A. is it possible that you and I could try to switch? You can send me a message to nail down the finer details. Thanks for the consideration!

I got accepted into USAFA SS session A, which is from June 4-7. However, I have already accepted and paid for USNA SS session A, which is from June 1-6. Does anyone know if there is a way I can change my USAFA dates, and if so, does that reduce my chances of going to USAFA SS? Will they understand if I am at another service academy?

You can decline your spot at USAFA, or maybe request a swap for another session. I got into the virtual session, but it would work much better with my schedule if I could attend session A.

I got into session C, but unfortunately it won't work for me. If you are interested in swapping your A for my C, message me privately and we can figure out how we can make it happen!

Thx HSGrad25, congratz to you as well! I believe I don’t have the PM function available as I’m new to the forums.. I have already reached out to the admissions regarding the schedule change and I think you should do that too!

My son got session C and we are willing to switch to session A. Email me at brisuzhoffman@aol.com and we can see if we can each provide names to USAFA to make the switch. Fingers crossed for both of our kids’ sakes!

My DS didn't get in. He had a 1360 SAT, Straight A's, takes all AP classes, and a highly competitive runner. He worked hard on his essay and I thought it sounded great. I'm wondering what they were looking for. Is his SAT too low? I was hoping to at least be on a waitlist.

My DS was accepted for Session A, but it conflicts with Boys State. Looking for a swap with Session B. If anyone is looking for that swap LMK. He has reached out to SS admissions and his ALO as well.

"- You get the same information and insight into life at the academy (I had a friend who went in person and we compared)
- You get the swag for still doing virtual
- It is a great thing to put on congressional applications (they don't seem to care what version you did)
- You don't have to pay for a flight or anything to get to USAFA"

I didn't get in. I'm probably just going to reach out to a recruiter for SMP at this point :( people may say that summer seminar doesn't matter but not going isn't the problem for me, it's the fact that I didn't get in that worries me.

I share a similar experience to him, maybe lack of extracurriculars or leadership? For people like us I recommend applying to Boys State with American Legion ASAP.
