Sunday phone call

Does anyone know if there will be a phone call this Sunday (tomorrow)? Since there is a delay in laptops I was wondering if there will be a call. I want to be sure to be here if there is a call. Thanks!
 
I believe that there will be one. My DS said he would talk to us on Sunday last Sunday when he called.

Let me say this I better get a call.... it's what has gotten me to this weekend. (hahaha!):shake:
 
Phone Call

Just wanted to know that after Indoc when and how often are our p/c's allowed to contact us.
 
It depends on the Company, but your DS/DD will generally be allowed to call each Sunday until recognition. Our DS's Company had the team leaders keep the phones and hand them out for 20-30 minutes each Sunday. The exceptions were when the 3c Tam Leader had weekend liberty, our DS occasionally got his phone all weekend. Then there was the time that team leader left for the weekend and forgot to pass out the phones before he left. We got no call that Sunday at all. I know this is a difficult time. As a mom, I always want to hear my DS's voice. He can fool me in an email. But I can always tell how he is really doing when I get to hear his voice... Stay flexible, and be thankful when you do have the opportunity to hear the voice you are waiting for.
 
Got my call

I just received my second Sunday call. It went just as fast as the first. He had to make the call outdoors so it is so hard to hear with the wind in the phone. Said he loves his new teachers which I assume means he is registered for classes. He will start captain's soccer practices this week too.

What company is your DS in?
 
phone call

Just received our call 5:30 am CA time (yawn). They changed dorm rooms and now he has different roommates. Sounds good and upbeat. Crew practice starts next week. Call lasted about 5 minutes. (1st company)

Thanks for posting the company...mine is in first also... but did not call until 5:40 p.m. last week...
 
Band Co

Just got our call at 0920 EST. PC is in Band Co. Last weeks call came at 1730.

Semper Gumby!!

He sounded tired but upbeat, still enjoying the ride. A much more "relaxed" call than last week's. Said he had he class schedule and needed school supplies ASAP. Good thing they were already on their way.

Also gave us his PO Box number.
 
Just rec'd our call. DS is in 102. They have new rooms/roommates, class schedules are out, but 1st Company did not get their mail box assignments yet (all others did). Getting ready for classes to start.
 
Phone Call

Just got our call around 9:00 from our son in 1st Company. He sounded good. He has new roommates & has already moved into a new room. I forgot to ask if he changed platoons...said they were calling early b/c they would be on the waterfront this afternoon.
 
Recieved our call a little after 9. Got class schedule and was able to stay in Company 1. Didn't know if we had to send items for the whole Company or just thier floor level. Voice was better, not as hoarse. Said they were now living with Upperclassmen (don't know if that means in the same building, floor or room). Said that I sent him too much stuff and had to make several trips to move. Haha. (mostly cleaning supplies). Asked him if he needed anything and he said no but spoke of his Company instead. Said schedules for classes would change mid Trimester and didn't know why.
He is doing okay and that is all I really need to know. He is not one for much information so I have to get that information here. Thanks for posting your phone calls and letters.
Also didn't know about the extra 20 computers and phones that were posted on the parent's page but said the 20 computers in the library were MACS and he didn't know how to use a MAC. I am sure someone will explain it to him so he can at least email.
 
Got my phone call...Hooray! 4th co. platoon 402. He sounded good,he said hes ok. Has a new roomate, I believe he said Lucero from Colorado,don't know if thats his first name or last name . He's happy about it. If the parents are out there please PM me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They got the a/c building. He said he won't need a blanket till winter. He needs school supplies the nex was out by the time 4th Co went. He wants a watch and tide stick as well as school supplies.He said hes ok,emotionally,physically and mentally and thats all we really wanted to hear. He said the mail office closes at 3ish so that delays mail...I've been blessed with him writing to us..I wish you all get good upbeat phone calls.:smile:
 
They usually refer to each other by last name unless a nickname has been given and stuck.
 
phone call

spoke with my ds around noon. sounds ok this week. He said he has been moved to 5th company. new dorm does not have air conditioning but he doesn't seem to care. has anyone else's plebe candidate been moved into this new company?
