Term Question

Hello! I am applying to both USNA and USMA. For my nomination essays, I would like to keep the term neutral regarding those who attend the academies (i.e., cadets and midshipmen). Is it possible to use the term cadet for both USNA and USMA? Or should I say cadets and midshipmen separately?

At USMA, they’re cadets. At USNA, they’re midshipmen. The terms are not interchangeable. You can do what I do here: “mids/cadets.”
