As a parent of another 22-year old in the service of our country, I am deeply saddened by this news. My heart goes out to his family.

This is not a political comment. Honest. This breaks my heart.
I live in a border state directly affected. Friends are BP agents. One of our garage clients is the local police dept. They had an officer assaulted and overrun this weekend.
High speed pursuits and endangering the public have exponentially increased. This is ground zero for putting everyone at risk.
Whether national guard or active duty, DHS or local law enforcement, we are in trouble.

This young man put on the uniform of our country. And he chose to show up and attempt to save lives.
My heart is with his friends, company mates and his family.
