Although, I have never asked a question on this thread, I want to say thank you and hats off to RetNavy and MullenLE. The fact that they are willing to give answers, direct candidates and parents when they receive no benefit reinforces what I have always believed about the military...we take care of our own

Just think about it MullenLE has published his email acct, fr all of us to answer any question, and all I ever see is he has contacted these people withing hours if not minutes. He has calmed down fears and created comfort whe he could...for that SA forums is truly blessed. I know we don't talk about other sites, but the beauty of this site is that this thread exists...I bet there isn't a day that doesn't go by where people ask a ? on another site about Dodmerb and they get the response to come over here!

For parents that have no military background this can be frightening, challenging and mind boggling, but I hope that you realize that the camraderie among military member regardless of the branch is a strong bond. This bond will always remain.

DoDMERB and we both feel it's very important to assist. I was in the Army for 20 years and have been perfroming this job since 1992. I know what it's like to go into unchartered territory and think that no one is willing to help. been there and sufferred through that myself. We may not always be able to give the answer folks want to hear, but we'll research and give the correct answer in a timely manner.
