The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

@Devil Doc , this one's for you.

I grew up in Tennessee. Both sides of the family were East TN/Western NC mountain people. So my hat is off to Alabamans for pulling this off.

I can't wait to learn about the genesis of the idea, development of the plan and what, up to now, looks like flawless execution.

Now would be a good time to share any youth hijinks you were involved in.

Ha, "What do you mean the tower is gone?" Crazy story.

Surely the statute of limitations would protect me on most hijinks but I'll have to think of some worth sharing.

Love this show. Watched it as a kid and Me TV had a run of it a while back. The look on people's faces when Gomer belted out a song was priceless. The only time Vince Carter was referred to to as gunnery sergeant was in the pilot episode. Every episode in all seasons until the end he was addressed as Sergeant Carter. Calling a Staff Sergeant and above Sergeant in the Marine Corps is a mortal sin but the show was so entertaining that it is a minor hiccup.

I can't even begin to imagine what kind of hell there would be to pay if someone called a Gunny "Sergeant"
Pretty sure some demon like stuff such as his head spinning around and eyes bulging right before the eagle like screeching that would be coming out of his pie hole.

Go Faster comment made me smile and think about things like my ink stick and moon beam. Thanks I needed that today.

You're welcome. Enjoying my Super Tuesday day off.

How about "port holes" for eye glasses? Hump for hike? 782 or deuce gear--does that even exist anymore? Barney style? Semper Gumby?

I can't even start on Navy slang. I actually have work to do on my day off.
