Ever since my son accepted his appointment, my dad has been quoting things about lactaid being extracted from the female of the bovine species.
Anyone else have old reef points rattling around in their heads at odd moments?
What is your favorite (shareable) memory of the academy?

That's a small piece of the entire answer to the question: "How's the cow?"

So how did I answer “How long have you been in the Navy?”

All me bloomin' life, sir! Me mother was a mermaid, me father was King Neptune. I was born on the crest of a wave and rocked in the cradle of the deep. Seaweed and barnacles are me clothes. Every tooth in me head is a marlinspike; the hair on me head is hemp. Every bone in me body is a spar, and when I spits, I spits tar. I'se hard. I is, I am, I are!

This came to mind when I saw a potential applicant mention drum line.

I started thinking about the Swiss Top Secret drum corps, which appears every year at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. DH and I checked that off our bucket list a few summers ago, but it immediately went into the “Cheerfully Do It Again Bucket.” There are all kinds of videos out there, but they don’t do justice to the sheer volume generated by the massed pipes and drums. The drum guys are great to watch.

Got a bottle of this tequila this weekend. Excellent. I like the darker (Añejo) stuff. The glass is red, not the tequila (in case you were wondering).

Also, I am quite fond of Casamigos Añejo as well:

Both are equally efficient at reducing the effects of Covid-19, on a temporary basis.
