Honestly, I LOVE IT. He wants to claim the title. And if he goes onto commission it's a great PR story. A lot of enlisted will eat it up.

Oh I get that. Maybe he's just paying it forward and wants to know the inner struggle of an enlisted Marine, before becoming a mustang and working his way back up. Mustangs are truly loved in the Corps because they have done every job. It's the math I don't get.
