The wheels of admissions are still turning!

Do RA appointment notifications begin to go out prior to the deadline for RA? Our DD received an email within the last week that her application was scheduled to be reviewed within the next two weeks. Thanks, and good luck!
DS also got that email. Not sure if it means a decision will come sooner. From what I've learned here, positive decisions may come sooner but rejections will not come come out until April.

To WindandSea and ryan7771. During early action my DD received a similar email and she received her appointment notification ~5 weeks later. Not sure if this will be the timeline for RA applications. DD was told that every application is seen by 3 committees before a final decision is made so we assume the email refers to the first or second committee. Hopefully things move faster for your children, it was a stressful 5 weeks. Best of luck.

During EA, my son got that email on 11/13/2020 and heard about his appointment offer on 12/7. So approximately 3 and a half weeks for him. I would say the timing might depend on when within that two week period the application actually gets looked at. My understanding is that they are sent for review in batches. So some are likely reviewed at the beginning of that two week period while others are at the end. Luck of the draw!
