Think you are prepared?

Thought he was prepared...

Quick question...son is scholarship recipient and good on his APFT but they have told him he is now underweight by 3 lbs. He has gained about 5 pounds since being offered scholarship and is 5'8" and weighs 126. I thought I remember the minimum weight for his height is 115lbs. but can't find where I saw that. Anyone know where he can verify this requirement?

So I have to ask.

Do you recommend White Long Grain, or Brown Rice?

Definitely brown rice, but only if you grow it yourself in what used to be a kiddie pool. Look it up on the internet!

Thank you Jcc123..will tell him to go for the "freshman 15"

old guys like me can put on 3 lbs in a matter of an hour or two. I wouldn't worry too much about getting that fixed! Peanut butter sandwiches are what the coaches I know fed kids who needed weight on. Avoid the stuff one sees on late night TV.
Regards the question about avg times for the run, what I hear from my DS confirms the range of times mentioned here.
I am still a bit astonished by the '50% fail the first test' stat. I am really struck by the fact that so many apparently show up to ROTC out of any sort of shape.
