I am interested in giving my older brother a once in a lifetime gift of two tickets for the both of us to next season's game. We have a rather unique demographic. We have a great-grandfather buried at each Academy. On our dad's side, his maternal grandfather was Joseph Boyd Campbell. On mom's side, her paternal grandfather was Thomas Benton Howard. We are both in our 70's now, so the idea of going to the game seems kind of time sensitive. BTW- we were both born at USNA while our father was teaching there in the 1940's.

Very broadly, ticket sales for this game are made available to season ticket holders, other VIP factions, faculty/staff/mids/carts and eventually to the general public, where they sell out very quickly. I recommend reading everything on the respective Academy ticket sales websites, depending on which side you want to sit on, so you know when to act. After the game is sold out, places like StubHub May have them. The Navy Sports website, the ticket seller for the Naval Academy Athletic Assn, also has a ticket marketplace.

This process starts soon.

Good luck!

What time of the year should I be looking for them to buy? Do alumni get tickets available earlier too?

I bought tickets for my husband and son immediately after DS returned from summer Seminar in June. I had to go through a Stub Hub-type seller, as I couldn't find any available tickets on the Academy websites, and paid about twice the face value. But I felt lucky to get them, and the trip to the big game on Dec 9 was an experience neither of them will ever forget! Perhaps starting this early, you'll have an easier time securing the tickets.

I joined this forum just to pass this on to you. Call 1-800-874-6289 during normal business and go from there. The gentleman I spoke to a few days ago was very professional and helpful. If you have any problems and are having a hard time getting the tickets send me a message and I may be able to help.
