I received my letters of appointment to both USNA and USMA early last month. Since then I received word from DoDMERB that a condition of tics that I possess put me in remedial status. Today I found out from DoDMERB that I have been disqualified and must seek a waiver for my appointments to stand.

My question is, does anyone know of or has heard of anyone who has been granted a waiver because of tics? My tics are very mild and you would not notice them unless you were around me all the time.

I'm just really anxious because my appointments are completely dependent on if I receive a waiver or not. Any answer or input about my chances of receiving a waiver with tics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This will be absolutely no consolation to you, but the answer you'll receive is something along the lines of "it depends." Read some of Mr.Mullen's posts about waivers and you'll find that his response to this question is very generic.

The real issue, I think, will be the root cause of the tics. Do you have Tourrette's or another syndrome that causes a physical tic?

I'm still alive and kicking until our webiste comes back up:thumb:
