What is the acceptance rate for AFROTC Tier 4 scholarships? SAT Scores, GPA, etc...? Thanks.
Traditionally, non-technical scholarships are very competitive. I don't believe there ever release those stats. I would say you need to view yourself as being just as competitive if you were going for the tech, but at the tip of the spear.
The reason why is they give less non-tech scholarships out than tech, that means there is less to go around.
I am assuming you mean also Type 1. Type 1 is incredibly competitive, only about 5% get a Type 1. 20% get a Type2. Start doing the Math and you can see as a non-tech major it becomes even harder since the majority go to technical fields.
Our DS is on AFROTC scholarship, 4 yrs, and he had strong stats. SAT was 1390, ACT was 33 or 34 can't recall, All AP's possible, top 10% of the class, etc.
Now remember, your stats are only one part of the equation. Your ECs, PFA and recs account for the other 40% of the WCS. You need to have that aspect strong too.
In other words it is called the WCS for a reason...the Whole Candidate, not just the book smart candidate or the athletic candidate.
