Time Between Nomination and Updated Portal

Any experience with how long it takes between verbal and written confirmation of a nomination from a Representative and when the Academy portal is updated (specifically USNA)? My son got a call from the Representative last week and just got the notice in the mail, but the portal still only shows Presidential under Nominations.

This varies by congressional office. Some offices update the portal immediately (without notice), while others want to wait until the notice is received in the mail. Congressional offices have until January 31st to submit to the academies. I would recommend emailing the academy coordinator to ask specifically about the time frame.

535 different ways this can happen. In our DS experience they showed in the portals before any notification from MOC's. Good luck to you!

DD's portal took about 2 weeks to update after notification by mail.
