To those with an LOA still...

Waiver granted 4/12, portal updated on 4/14!
I'm still waiting for my waiver and I have an LOA as well. My USNA portal updated to not needing a medical qualification under required actions, yet my DODMERB portal hasn't updated. How did you find out about your waiver being granted?

Sorry, my DODMERB actually updated 4/10 to reflect waiver granted. But the same thing happening to you happened to me and another user the day before both of our waivers got granted, so hopefully that’s what it means for you!

Same thing happened to me. Pretty sure it means your waiver has been granted!

I received an LOA in September, still waiting on a waiver, I got my medical deadline extended to May 1st by my regional commander.

my USNA portal says I don't have any more required actions. Does that mean I got a waiver?

DD rec'd LOA Feb 27th for NAPS still under waiver review in DODMERB. Now AROTC just added to DODMERB under waiver review. May 1st college decision deadline fast approaching.

I didn't even realize there were LOA issued to attend NAPS. That's the first I've heard of that. Do you literally means a LETTER OF ASSURANCE as opposed to an appointment?

Yes, it does happen. Our daughter received a LOA for NAPS in Jan ‘19 last year, contingent on getting a medical waiver for one missed frequency threshold in her left ear .... Crazy because she plays instruments by ear and tells everyone to be quiet.

Yes. She rec'd a Letter of Assurance to NAPS pending a medical waiver.

Did she get the waiver? Do you remember the timeline? We are still waiting and Commitment day is fast approaching for civilian college. She might have to commit somewhere else if she doesn't have the waiver by 1 May 20.

@FredD .... DD received the LOA to NAPS Jan 16, 2019 (current graduating class). The waiver came about 2 weeks later in early February 2019.

We are still waiting on a waiver here too.

For the Academy, waiting till even June is fine (well other than a few gray hairs) But for ROTC, the commitment date will mess us up. Plan B and Plan C changes places if ROTC waiver not known on May 1.
