Our cadet's home is in the Albuquerque, NM area. Does anyone know of a "bulletin board" academy wide where he might be able to arrange a ride down this way for Thanksgiving ? Naturally he'd expect to share the gas costs. Thanks for any help out there.

The easiest thing to do is for him to ask around his squadron, to see if any of his squadron mates live in the albuquerque area or are driving that way. Next, he can spread the word around through the other cadets. Of course, to be honest, a flight to albuquerque is REALLY CHEAP. I live in Cheyenne Wyoming, and my wife flies out of Denver to Albuquerque quite a few times a year to see her mom/dad. It's always been under $200 for a round trip. Closer to like $120-$140. Matter of fact; Southwest Airlines, out of Denver, has flights for $143 round trip. And, they have flights leaving, up until 9:30pm, so in case they don't get out early on tuesday, he can still make his flight.

Frontier airlines actually flies out of Colorado Springs, some direct to albuquerque, some via denver. Price is in the $140-$180 price range. Lot of options. Good luck. Mike....

Thanks, Mike. I'll pass all of this on to him. You are the best! We can always count on you for answers and suggestions.

I just paid $1110.20 for two tickets to the Steeler Nation for my favorite cadets. I know I know... but ouch, that was still painful. At least the Christmas break tickets were a mere $846.18, a relative bargain.
