In my career I have found that the less I meddle in things that are truly out of my control, the better they turn out (such as a PCS move across the country a few years ago).

And now with my DS's travel arrangement. I encouraged him to book his flights on his own and get reimbursed (yeah we would front the money) as he can control the times. He said no, as if the USAFA books his flight and there are delays, cancellations, etc...it would be on them (not sure I agree...but that is okay).

So he lets the USAFA arrange travel. My fingers were crossed.

He departs our local airports at 12:30 pm (perfect...leisurely morning, no rush hour travel), has a 75 minute layover (perfect) and arrives in COS just before 4pm (again...perfect), and there are two other flights later in the day incase of cancellations (nice).

It is becoming reality!

As my boss used to say: "It will be there when we get there..."
