Received my TWE today from Naval Academy. While it's devastating, I look forward to framing it on my wall and trying even harder this next time around. Just wanted to send my appreciation out to everyone on this forum, it was so helpful for me as a high schooler trying to navigate my way through the process. In the end, I guess my medical DQ for ADHD and mediocre CFA sealed my fate. Here is to all of us putting 110% in towards our next attempt at getting in. Best of luck to those like me who received their TWE and are re-applying, and thank you to all forum members for your efforts to make this process as clear as possible.

Best of luck to you and your future endeavors!...May I ask, what time did you receive your T.W.E.? Thank you.

My DD received her notification today. She had been more expecting it than I was. She felt the longer it took the less chance she had. I kept up the hope, the drive that she would get in. I am more devastated than she is. She had been denied an NROTC scholarship as well a while back. She assured me that she is not giving up, she just may get to the final point a different way. She is meant for the Navy, I truly believe it. We hope that even without an NROTC scholarship that she can still enter the NROTC program in the college she chooses. Good luck to all who are still waiting.

Consider self prep at MMI. Chat with LTC Bowen of their Service Academy Program Don't give up the dream!

For the OP, if you believe ADHD was a potential factor in the admissions process, I would strongly suggest going to COLLEGE next year (assuming you can do so medically, of course). One of the best ways to show ADHD behind you is to demonstrate to USNA that you can excel at the plebe courses in college while also handling everything else college throws at you (living on your own, etc.). Second, I suggest you find a personal trainer (it can be remote given the current situation) and have him/her design a workout regimen that you start now so that you max the CFA next time around. You have PLENTY of free time now to train -- take advantage of it!

Also, check out the sticky on reapplying -- lots of good gouge.

DS got his TWE as well. Still waiting on USMA and USAFA, but on to plan B, 4-year AROTC. He is entering with 30+ hours so room to minor in Russian as well or double major. Good luck to all USNA class of 2024!

Thank you for the good advice! I am looking forward to going to Auburn and doing NROTC, so college is definitely what I have in mind. Good to know that it's definitely a step in the right direction!
