Status Change?
I just finally received my letter this morning. TWE. I assume I was in the last wave, and that the mythical “status changes” will begin very soon. There will only be a few of them, so stay optimistic, my friends. As Raptor22 said, you’ve gotta be real with yourself, look at your app, and decide where/how it needs improvement. I think I’m going to self prep somewhere like MMI. I need the military experience I think. I’d like to get private flight hours. Up my CFA. There’s still hope for co22, but in my honest opinion, you should begin to look at the situation as if there wasn’t any at all. Be prepared, and maybe, just maybe, one of us will get lucky with a BFE. Till then, go Air Force, Beat Navy!
To those of you who received a TWE this morning, I can promise you that if USAFA is what you really want your journey is not over. I too received a TWE last year. I was devastated. However, I took an honest look at my application and saw what areas needed improvement. I decided to self prep at MMI this year and honestly it was probably one of the best decisions of my life, no kidding. I know that if I am blessed with an appointment this year I will be way more prepared compared to if I had went straight out of high school. Additionally, I met some great friends this year that I will have for a lifetime. This year was a tremendous opportunity for me. I'm not going to lie, the next few days might be tough. However, IT WILL BE OKAY!

No, I haven't heard back yet. However, if I receive a TWE I will enlist and try and get in through the LEAD Program!
Hey Raptor22, I remember reading your post about getting TWE, then self prep, then plan to enlist and LEAD if TWE came again. I was thinking, "This is the most determination I've ever seen." Now I see your name on the appointment thread. Congrats!
