I am not sure you will fine someone here from UCF, but the general aspects in the beginning are about the same at every unit.
Use the summer to workout in all types of weather. If you are a night owl, than make sure that you stay with your bedtime routine, but wake up and do the PFA at 6 a.m. The fact is dorms are loud, and your dorm mates don't care that you have to be up at 5:30 to exercise. Plus, there will be nights where you will be studying late for an exam, so even if you are not a night owl sometimes you won't get to bed until midnight for academic reasons.
Make sure your form is 100% correct. If it is not than you are working twice as hard for half the score. Our DS's det were sticklers on the form.
~ Each year there are threads about cadets failing the PFT because of form.
~~~~ Fail and you can't contract. No stipend, no book allowance, no tuition paid.
For other things.
1. You will need your original Birth certificate and SS card.
~~~~ Go with a FEDEX envelope and send it back home as soon as you submit it to the unit.
2. Contact your family doc and ask if you can have them download all of your medical records onto a CD ROM.
~~~~ All of my kids have gone to school with one. It is just for the G forbid, this way the doc there knows your entire medical history in minutes. Our DD went to the ER as a sophomore and the Doc was thankful that she had it, they didn't need to worry about allergies, med. history, it was all there on the CD.
3. Good sneakers that you have worn a couple of times. They do not give you sneaks and if you have not worn them it can impact your PFA score.
4. Tide to Go pen/wipes. You'd be amazed how easy it is to get a splash of soda on your uniform at lunch before your LLAB class.
Others can give other suggestions, but those are my top ones.
