This is weird. DoDMERB is requesting a R152.27 Remedial (as stated below). I read the remedial instructions and it doesn't make sense because I have 20/15 vision, which is above average. Any advice on this? Should I call DoDMERB?
"R152.27 Obtain a manifest refraction - REQUIRES A PHYSICIAN'S APPOINTMENT: PROVIDER INSTRUCTIONS: Please obtain a NEW evaluation by an optometrist or ophthalmologist for a manifest refraction, which corrects near and distant vision to 20/20 or to best correction if vision is less than 20/20 in each eye. The evaluation must include uncorrected and corrected vision at near and distant. Please annotate the results (fill in blocks #17, #18, and #19) on the ATTACHED EYE EXAMINATION FORM. APPLICANT ONLY INSTRUCTIONS: If you wear contact lenses they must be removed prior to examination; 3 days for soft contacts and 21 days for hard/rigid gas permeable contacts. Additionally, if you wear rigid lenses as part of ortho-keratology or corneal refractive therapy, they must be removed for a period of 90 days prior to the examination. Please note that NO INTERMITTENT USE of your contact lenses is allowed during the period that they are to be removed. A SIGNED STATEMENT REGARDING THE TYPE OF CONTACTS (SOFT, HARD, etc.) YOU WEAR AND HOW MANY DAYS THEY WERE REMOVED PRIOR TO THIS EXAM MUST BE INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT. "
