Hello all, since I was 7 it has been my dream to go to a service academy. During middle school I narrowed it down to between USMA, USNA, and USAFA. I'm currently in my freshman year and this is what I have so far:

Academics
GPA: 3.88 Unweighted, 4.25 Weighted
Courses: Honors Science (A), Honors English (A), Honors Social Studies (A), Honors Math (B), Spanish (A), CADD (computer development) (A), Woodshop (A), Phys Ed (A). Will be taking honors courses next year too
Class Rank: 11/92

Sports
Freshman Basketball Team Captain & MVP
Will be doing Varsity soccer next year

ECA's
30+ Volunteer hours
Will be on Student Government next year
Working on bringing an NHS chapter to my school

I realize I'm a bit weak on my ECA's/Leadership positions, but I plan on doing more next year to strengthen my application.

What do you guys think I should approve upon? All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the wall text by the way

Speaking in regards to the naval academy (can't remember about the other two), they only wanted your activities from grades 10-12, so if you want to step it up, do it now. Set up a base for a good 10-12 with your grades and participitation in ECs. You look solid as a freshman, but remember, you can always do better. Good luck and work hard!

But NROTC, which should be one of your backup plans, look at all 4 years of high school, unless something changed this year. So keep plugging this year as well. Yes, I know I'm preaching to the choir but it has to be said. :thumb:

I will definitely be trying hard to make sure I do well not only throughout all of high school, but also this year too! Working hard to change that B in math to an A!

Start studying for PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, ACT, and ASVAB if your school offers it.
