Keep your chin up. You DS is a viable candidate. He's made it this far! Pick yourself up! It's a wild ride and you've been beside him the entire time. It's just daunting. At least this week you can breathe easy and not worry until April 3.

Don't give up all hope yet....DS received TWE on April 7, offer of Falcon Foundation scholarship on April 29....appointed last month. Best of luck!

Yes. Spring break ends and they return to campus. On the forum, people have said that they close up shop during spring break.
So you got twe and then the offer for falcon scholarship? How did the portal change? Did still list you as candidate?

DS received the email TWE but I'm sorry, I don't know what the portal status was until he received the Falcon offer.....then I believe it said Falcon Foundation offer....it was a long 3 weeks. He accepted his ROTC scholarship and was prepared to attend Virginia Tech in the Corp of Cadets....

My DS received LOA from both Congressman Brady and ROTC. He was very high on the list of the Congressman. He personally called me and spoke very highly of my DS. I know that the USAFA is short staffed because of Hiring Freeze, and this may be causing delays. Plus, they are on Spring Break. This waiting is about to make me crazy!

Congrats to you and your DS! We toured the campus summer of 2015 and my DS knew 100% that is where he wanted to go! Hoping to get his appointment soon!
So, that means they will release some next week?

I truly hope so! Time will tell. Just another day playing the waiting game.
A.K.A the worst game ever haha
DS status still shows same Candidate / Complete, but he did have more activity by DODMREB again yesterday. This is the 4th email from them since mid Feb (and 2nd email in 2 weeks) that his status has been updated or changed and letter generated. Status still shows Qualified. Nothing in the letter that gives any clues what they were doing.
Don't know what to make of this, except to think that they're still looking at him. And you're not out till you get the portal notice that you have been declined?
DS is still hopeful, but definitely moving on Plan B at Embry Riddle and AFROTC there.

The same has happened to me. I believe it was an update for AFROTC though.
I have been looking also. But I wouldn't say that. I think more people are using this site now more than ever. I was looking at USNA which usually has around 130ish appointments listed by the end, and right now, they have over 150! I think we still have a long wait ahead of us, along with more appointments along the way.
