I'm so sorry to hear!!! DON'T GIVE UP KEEP TRYING.... but what did your portal look like when you found out? Did it just appear?

I'm sorry to hear that. If you are serious about attending any of the academies, I encourage you to try and find out what part of your application needs improvement, and focus on bettering yourself in that aspect. Best of luck to you!

Really hoping the best for you with any path you choose for your future. I wouldn’t dare say I know how you’re feeling, but I can relate in that I received a TWE for ‘25. If I’m being honest, that decision is the best thing that could have happened for me. Back then I was a well rounded applicant but my sights were solely set on getting to the academy. Though I had a few ideas that stuck out, there was no definite plan for what career path I was going to pursue in the military. Over the past approximate year, I went to college, got my EMT certification, and discovered where my true passion, purpose, and drive lies in field work. Now, I am dead set on going Pararescue (possibility of CRO with the ‘26 application) this fall.

At the end of the day, going to the USAFA shouldn’t be your goal, it should be to help you achieve your goal. Take some time, explore your options, follow what you’re passionate about, and don’t ever let an obstacle keep you from finishing your race. You’re going to do great things.

Sorry to hear that. Don't give up on a dream. There are several options out there if your heart was to serve in the USAF !!!!

My son applied to the USCGA and at his decline, he was accepted to a major university. Orientation Day, found the AFROTC table and signed up. Ended up being the best 5 years of his life. Graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree, earned a Type 1 scholarship , earned a pilot slot, and is now sitting at an Air Force Base waiting for Undergrad Pilot Training to begin as a 2nd LT.

Find other routes and options. That plan B, C or D may actually work out better.
