Yes. We were super surprised for a call on a Sunday. My DS missed the call this morning b/c he was at a swim meet, and when he finally got the message and called back it was 5 pm. We thought for sure we'd be on pins and needles til tomorrow. But he left a message and the AO called back within 10 mins of the message. Very thoughtful of the AO not to leave us hanging and working on a weekend too! No email or any sign of the decision on Bear's Den yet, so glad he got the news live.
 
My DS received his Appointment Friday evening and was told by his AO the Bears Den would be updated in a “day or two”. BFE to follow in a week or two. Coach informed Friday evening via text that he has been added to the 2020 team Roster. Bears Den was not yet updated the last he checked Sunday Morning.

DS said last night he is excited to meet his classmates!

Reminder- there is an OFFICIAL closed Facebook Group for appointees to the Class. A link to it can be found in the Applicant Handbook. Like most kids my, DS does not use FB. I told him that’s probs the best place to start. I’m sure he’ll get to it tonight.

Any Football players on this appointment list yet?

If you assume (and this is just a guess) that only 10% of folks are on here, perhaps 140 or so. As the days tick closer to the 23rd, it's possible that they tried to get as many appointments as they could notified last week, reserving this week for deferrals, scholars and denials. Who knows, though? I would have thought they would contact the denials and deferrals first simply to clear the workload a bit (and, let's be honest - a denial a few days before Christmas isn't ideal.) That's just a guess from the manager in me, though! LOL :director: Regardless their method, this week should be an active one as it is the final week before Christmas.
