My DS received his rejection this am in his portal. Thank you all for your support along the way & best of luck in the future no matter where you end up!

I am so sorry. DS was same last year. A quick question if you don't mind. Are you a reapplicant? The reason I ask is that DS is a reapplicant and has 2 profiles (1 from last year and 1 for this year). There was nothing for this year but when DS checked last year's profile, your same Capt Fredie's letter pops up. DS is a little confused and wanted to see for some reason they replied in his profile for last year in error.

My son has the same issue. I DM'd @Objee for clarification and he swiftly replied as follows: "All our decision letters are "templates" that are simply edited/updated each year, so they overwrite versions from past years and therefore an applicant who accesses their profile from a past year will see their status from that year (date on the letter should not change from past year) with this year's version of the decision letter. If he's not a seeing decision letter when he accesses his profile for this year then a decision has not been finalized yet for his application to the Class of 2025"

They were notified of their rejections via their bears den page. The “Cadet Candidate Evaluation Boards Complete” box was checked and there was a link posted to view their rejection letters.

He’s actually visiting tomorrow! He’s bringing his whole entourage with him as well (LT Strickland, Chief Verhagen, Mr. McMunn, CGA Chaplain, etc.) We aren’t entirely sure if he is handing out self prep appointments as well, but he is certainly giving CGAS appts. Fingers Crossed!

Exactly DS's situation. So we don't know what a decision will look like. Will it be a second letter? A message on the application portion of the board?

I assume it will be an update in the same way we received the first one. I haven’t seen anyone who was deferred receive a decision yet though. Was your son requested for an interview?

My DS was also deferred from EA to RA and we still have not heard anything.

I was deferred from EA and my acceptance appeared in the place of my deferral with the new date and everything the deferral just disappeared.

Yes, he had an interview in November, it went an hour and was very good. He asked why he was deferred and the reply was no particular reason. He has a 31 ACT, 236 PFE, 3.5 GPA. His Varsity letter came after the review board so that may help in RA. Also, after the deferral, he switched from Gov to Cyber and since he founded a vibrant esports club at school, he asked his sponsor to write a recommendation letter.

I should add, he isn't a recruited athlete.

We're hoping these things put him over the edge but no news so far...

I found out on the 24th in a phone call from a coach. My official decision letter didn't update until a day or two later.
