Hello all,
I am aware that the first board started yesterday on the 30th of October. I know that for the naval option, the wait is 2-3 weeks give or take to hear results. Is Marine Option any different in that aspect? The suspense is pretty killer.

It will take longer to learn the results.

Search this board and you will find NROTC MO announcements from years prior. In my DS's time period it was right around Christmas. Recently, I believe the results we out earlier - early December?

Get used to waiting. It is a way of life in the military. In fact, to do yourself a favor you should also search for the last scholarship announcements and check those dates.

DS's CPT told him on or around December 15th for decision. He was formally boarded last week post HQ's final scrub/review. Also, he was conveyed that if he does not win a scholarship in December he will roll to next board and will require a redo of his PFT.

My son heard right before Christmas. It kind of depends on which RS district you live in on the when's and hows.

That would be a pretty sweet Christmas gift!

My DS just celebrated his 18th birthday, so anything in-between (the timing of board results) would be icing on the cake.
