It is actually a mandatory event for the class. Last year, the game was postponed due to weather and it made parent visits trickey, but under normal circumstances, parents can buy tickets through the Alumni group block and attend the game to have just a moment of time to spend with their Plebe.

If PWE is on the weekend of Labor Day, will they report back on Sunday 4th or Monday 5th? Asking so we can start making our AirBnB reservations hehe
 
New Question: We know the 2022/2023 calendar is not out yet. We are booking our DS's flights and would prefer to book a round trip ticket. My question is would Friday, December 16th be the date to fly back?

This is based off of the 2021/2022 calendar which has listed Friday, December 17th as listed as "Winter Leave Begins"

Yeah your plebe can leave the last day, just make sure they know their schedule for that day. You can leave after lunch muster on fridays before breaks if you don't have a final/class

If your plebe is "done" before lunch on the friday before a break they can fill out a special leave request and leave earlier. Some of my engineer friends got to leave like three days early for spring break while i had to stay and take a nav law final lol
 
I highly recommend waiting on the return flight. As a plebe, so many things can happen that can change the start of leave time. Special leave requests are often ignored or denied depending on the mood of the person who has approval authority. If you do get a round trip ticket, make sure it can be changed without a huge penalty.

The "unofficial" calendar shows Winter Leave begins at 1640 hours or after last scheduled class on Friday Dec 16 2022. It shows that Winter Leave ends on Monday Jan 2, 2023. You need to know the return time for your DS class though which I don't know. Also, probably wise to heed @kpmom2013's advice but now at least you have this information FWIW and you can act as you see fit. Remember "YMMV"!
