USMMA Class of 2028 Waiting

My wife and I were just this past Friday. We were at an Alumni function and stayed at the Inn at Great Neck (Thursday) and were very pleased. The Inn at Great Neck is an upscale Best Western. I think the price would have been aboit $150 for a King but we had used points. When we do reunions, we stay at a place called the Fox Hollow Inn. It is about 20 miles further out the island, quitye nice, has free simple food on some weeknights.

I agree!:) I love and highly recommend the Inn at Great Neck! Well run and staffed and there’s love there and customer service! We stayed there in March for my DS’s overnight and tour and briefing!
 
Does anyone know why CFA would say complete in February and now when we checked his application it says incomplete?

Turned down Kings Point? Your kid must not like money $$$. If you saw what MM 3rd Officer's make compared to Ensigns you might reconsider.

We used the Hilton Garden Inn in Roslyn. Gave us a little more space and there was quite a few other families there. staying there for graduation as well.

Another place, a bit out the Island, is a hotel called the Fox Hollow Inn that is about 20 miles from the Academy. It is very nice and my class (1965) has been staying there for reunions since our 50th. Many other classes use it as a base for reunions. There is an included buffet dinner from Monday through Thursday, breakfast in the AM, and afternoon coffee, tea, etc. The website is Inn at Fox Hollow. Also a nice Italian restaurant on the grounds. Not too far away is Sagamore Hill, the home of Theadore Roosevelt should you have any free time.
 
My DS received his medical waiver granted on Monday and his portal updated today under application status from pending to declined offer. Is that TD for the USMMA? We are confused.

I would reach out to his admissions officer asap because it sounds like (and I could be wrong) it’s showing that DS declined an offer of admission

The website is glitching! So reach out to your AO to have it fixed. We did that earlier this week. Good luck!
 
Long time stalker, first time poster.

My DS was recruited for football, but is chilling on the waitlist. Coaches seem optimistic but no BFE yet! Do we think the extended 2024 application deadline impacted timing (i.e. we might go deeper into May with appointment activity)?

We always see appointments well into May and even June. Make sure your DS stays in close contact with the football coach. Have a plan B, but there is definitely still hope. Good luck
 
Thank God we called the AO. My son received a rejection letter today based on what was glitched. They rescinded his LOA. I’m hoping since it was fixed and everything passed and is completed he gets his appointment.

Wow!! We are not able to view the portal at all anymore (the page with the detail that shows all the completes / incompletes)… We did have a discrepancy and recruited the football coach to help look into it.

Is anyone else having an issue viewing this specific page?

The AO emailed my son back today. Told him to disregard the letter. His appointment is coming this week and asked if he would be accepting. My son responded that he is accepting.

That is the page that is glitching in the system and what we had to have fixed.

we can't see the details page either - same issue, waiting on FB coach.
