Are you going just by what the portal status reflects? That is an outward-facing status board for the convenience of the applicant, which may or may not reflect the actual real-time status of an action. What it reflects may be dependent on staff getting to it to update to reflect actual status. My transcript STILL hasn't been verified. Not sure what to think anymore
Disheartening comment to make if you're not sure about that.... for those who have been waiting...and waiting.....and waiting.......i could be wrong but at this point the only people that are still in contention for appointment are those that already have an LOA and are just waiting for waivers or missing items (maybe missing a NOM). i tracked this diligently back when it was my DS and there were no non-LOA appointments this late in the game. there are however those that will get waitlisted which is a good place to be instead of flat out TWE. if you are waitlisted i would recommend accepting your plan B and reapply. WL's have a good shot at the reapplication from what ive seen on this board as they are very strong candidates and USNA just does not have a place to put them in the current year.
lol, yep! Have the same prefab golden envelope!!! No LOA... just lots of hopeIs anyone else waiting with me who doesn't have a LOA? I have never seen a Golden Envelope. I am guessing it would look something like this??? Keeping the FAITH! FLY NAVY!

Understood, I will hop on the live chat and ask for clarification. Thank you!Are you going just by what the portal status reflects? Have you tried jumping on the live chat widget on the Admissions pages - have your candidate ID handy - and asking an Admissions counselor to check the status? They can see the real-time actual status.
My DS portal still says Applied. No idea how far into this process he actually is and nothing from admissions except we will know by the end of the month
At 1:00 CST, I believe.Does anyone know is there an afternoon live chat today? If so what time?
Should be a busy live chat indeed...I just went to the Admissions website, tapped the Contact Us balloon, and the chat schedule popped up. Screenshot:

By far the least communicative of the Academies DS has applied too. Least communicative of any of the colleges for that matter...So no news on status from the live chat....still no decision....
Not sure “no news is good news” is still applicable....
Me too no wait list, no LOA, no conditions offer, no updates since October... hopefully we hear back by soon! GLIs anyone else waiting with me who doesn't have a LOA? I have never seen a Golden Envelope. I am guessing it would look something like this??? Keeping the FAITH! FLY NAVY!

How does it look from the admissions standpoint if a Candidate is asking for status? Are you going just by what the portal status reflects? What else do you need communicated about? Your son is in the running, with a nom, no TWE (that others have), and it isnt April 30th (that admissions has said is when everyone should know by). They have a chat bubble and answer any question anyone has. What is not communicative about that? I feel like this year, they have been expceptionally forthcoming with their updates. For example, they added the chat ability, answering any and all questions that they can.By far the least communicative of the Academies DS has applied too.
