USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

My transcript STILL hasn't been verified. Not sure what to think anymore :(
Are you going just by what the portal status reflects? That is an outward-facing status board for the convenience of the applicant, which may or may not reflect the actual real-time status of an action. What it reflects may be dependent on staff getting to it to update to reflect actual status.

Have you tried jumping on the live chat widget on the Admissions pages - have your candidate ID handy - and asking an Admissions counselor to check the status? They can see the real-time actual status.

i could be wrong but at this point the only people that are still in contention for appointment are those that already have an LOA and are just waiting for waivers or missing items (maybe missing a NOM). i tracked this diligently back when it was my DS and there were no non-LOA appointments this late in the game. there are however those that will get waitlisted which is a good place to be instead of flat out TWE. if you are waitlisted i would recommend accepting your plan B and reapply. WL's have a good shot at the reapplication from what ive seen on this board as they are very strong candidates and USNA just does not have a place to put them in the current year.
Disheartening comment to make if you're not sure about that.... for those who have been waiting...and waiting.....and waiting.......

Understood, I will hop on the live chat and ask for clarification. Thank you!

So DS attended live chat and was told to check the portal and that he would have an answer by 30 April. Everyone else seemed to be getting the same answer. So all we know ad of this point is that my DS has applied and has a moc nom.

I am rooting for you, teamluke. Your enthusiasm is unmatched on this forum. Keep the FAITH! Fly NAVY!⚓

So is everyone! Teamluke is the Charlie Bucket on the 'waiting and waiting' thread and I personally hope that Willy Wonka (or his MOC/Senator) show up at his front door and hand him a golden ticket and a case of Wonka bars! Hoping for all of you actually! (DS is TWE'd)

I think it's a good sign that wait list offers have gone out! They are hopefully just finalizing all your golden tickets!

How does it look from the admissions standpoint if a Candidate is asking for status?

By far the least communicative of the Academies DS has applied too. Least communicative of any of the colleges for that matter...
What else do you need communicated about? Your son is in the running, with a nom, no TWE (that others have), and it isnt April 30th (that admissions has said is when everyone should know by). They have a chat bubble and answer any question anyone has. What is not communicative about that? I feel like this year, they have been expceptionally forthcoming with their updates. For example, they added the chat ability, answering any and all questions that they can.

Perhaps its not the ‘yes’ or ‘no’ that you want, but perhaps they don’t know that for your son, yet. It’s also not April 30th.

Routing for everyone!
