USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

I was waitlisted the same day as you and my conditional appointment came on the 28th. I am still waiting for a medical waiver.
How were you informed of your appointment from the waitlist? Did it show up in your portal or did you get an email/call?

DS was waitlisted on April 13 and just received a conditional appointment this morning! He was sent an email and has a new letter is in his portal, just waiting on a medical waiver. He's a college reapplicant and also reapplied and got into the Coast Guard Academy class of 2025. We could not be more proud of him and his grit. Go Navy! Go Bears!

Good morning to all of you who stood the test of time in the USNA Class of 2025 application journey. While I write this I know there are many of you that carry the anchor ⚓ I now officially have been strapped with. The pain is real! The chains are heavy, and it is going to take a lot of strength to stand up. Just like you, I gave it my best effort, but came up short. I arrived at the place I didn't want to go to, but here I am. May 1st, 2021 at 0400 I received my TWE. Instead of a Golden Envelope, I received a new assignment. It wasn't the assignment I was reaching for, but it is the assignment handed to me. I will step on a new ship, headed in a different direction. There will be storms along the way with rough seas ahead. However, the storms will pass and the the sky's will clear. I will arrive at the same place I wanted to go, but took a different route. When I step off of that boat, I will be stronger, better prepared, and ready to serve my country as a ➡️NAVAL OFFICER!⬅️ I am grateful to be surrounded by people who share the same commitment of serving our country. I look forward to meeting you out there on the deck! God Bless you, Keep the FAITH! "DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP!" FLY NAVY! ⚓
NEW ASSIGNMENT: USS REDHAWK 2025
LOCATION: MIAMI UNIVERSITY-Oxford, Ohio
UNIT: NROTC MIAMI OHIO
NSI: PHASE II
I totally missed this post and was wondering where you were in the wait. I was pulling for you!

My DD still waiting. Waitlisted on April 13th. Says her portal is still showing waiver under review. Solid Plan B & C so that is good. Trying to shift gears but her heart still wants USNA. Is no news probably bad at this point? I see some got conditional appointments (congrats!) after being waitlisted but she is still waiting with no LOA.

I know in our state, we have one still trying to clear medical for their LOA....so, in a case like this, should that medical not clear? Our next person (on the waitlist) would be offered.

So in that example, it would mean no news is good news for your dd. I’m not saying this is the case, but it’s an example of how something could be going. Until things are all buttoned up, and a TWE is received, there is still hope.

Thanks for the info. Holding out hope as her bro is USNA Class of 2023 and she would love to be there with him!
