Rather than Eagle Scout, DS is a Cadet Captain and unit commander in Civil Air Patrol and a few hours of training away from his private pilot certificate. Varisity soccer 4 years; Captain his senior year; National level club soccer; all-star; Varsity Track... all AP classes. Amazing recommendations from amongst others an retired Army Major who has known him since he was 2 years old. He maxed CFA in over half the exercises... and congressman's nomination. I am starting to fear his SAT score is Achilles heel. The wait is killing us. Though he did get both NROTC and AFROTC scholarships already... he really wants to go to USNA or USAFA.

mine has a 34 ACT captain, varsity two sport athlete multiple letters, martial arts black belt (national fighter), AP classes, great recs from teachers, volunteer hours, Boys State, two Noms . Underrepresented District. And we wait...

Of course...most nominations are competitve, with the MOC nominating up to 10 for each open position. For most, the Nomination simply means you are still in the running.

Honestly I think you will find that pretty much all of the candidates that are to this point with a nomination will have equally impressive resumes.
