Hi all! This might be a little early but I saw a thread for USAFA appointees that they used during the wait so I thought I would make one for USNA appointees! Hopefully this can be used to throw some questions back and forth and just to serve as a hangout until I Day. Congrats all! Can't wait to see everyone this summer

I think that this thread is for candidates who have accepted their appointments as opposed to the people waiting for the BFE.

I understand the possible intent. However, do we need two separate “Waiting“ threads? Will people even notice the distinction and post their questions appropriately? My experience here says no.

Also, there is no separate similar thread in the USAFA forum as the OP suggested. There is the appointment list thread, and a waiting thread, and it is difficult enough to keep posts from crossing over with those two, much less three threads.

Posters are free to make this thread as they wish, I just see much confusion in doing so.

I appreciate the sentiment of OP but agree this will be interesting to keep on track!

I am preparing to go and get fitted for some runnning shoes and break them in. I know that this is an expected item to take care of and bring.

My question is: Can we or should we also get some Low-quarter shoes (the navy reg. oxfords) and break them in. I have found that this helps once they are broken in for wearing them, but was't sure if we could bring our own. I would imagine not since USNA probably wants you to have to start from scratch on shining, etc. "Part of the experience"
