Thanks.. that makes sense. DS does not check portal regularly. Just hope this endless pending is over soon.A couple hours after my portal changed I received an email saying I had been turned down.

6 more days!!! In my case, I miss having a reason to check the portal every chance I get. Good luck to your DS! Getting this far in the application and not being turned down is an accomplishment in itself. Don't give up hope!Thanks.. that makes sense. DS does not check portal regularly. It's especially funny because of how silent the other Academies' waiting threads have been recently.Well the first day of the purge as of this time has gotten us through 6.5+ pages of forums
anom has been on my mind the last week@anom any news?
Not sure other SAs, but USMA is very engaging with candidates. A few current cadets have contacted DS, his FFR often communicates with him, and even admission official called/text/email with him throughout the process. My guess there are much less speculations going on with USMA -It's especially funny because of how silent the other Academies' waiting threads have been recently.
+1@anom any news?
When I taught (Chemistry) at USMA, I would call candidates and talk to them about coming to USMA. After I talked to them, I fed that information to someone in the admissions office to let them know how I felt about them. My flight school classmate was also an admissions officer at the time. Not sure other SAs, but USMA is very engaging with candidates. We must be in different regions. I'm in the SE, and contacting anyone at admissions has been difficult. Not sure other SAs, but USMA is very engaging with candidates. Balanced advice. There is always hope until there isn’t, and there is no way of knowing how many offers of appointments are actually out there. Not necessarily decreasing by the hour, as it could be right now they are rejecting people before they waitlist/accept others. But candidates as a whole don’t have good odds for an acceptance right now, as it should be safe to assume most acceptances have been sent out at this point. But that doesn’t mean that YOU singularly have bad odds, it could be they are just getting some things done before accepting you.
I’m a pretty qualified candidate with good stats and I know that I am 3Q and that no one from my district has been accepted yet. So I don’t really know what my odds are, I would imagine they are higher than pending candidates as a whole though, simply due to the fact that I’m still competing for my district slot.
relatable - still pending here in kentucky...This about sums up the last 5 months of my life

Dear Son, Dear Daughter, triple qualified (academic, CFT, and medical).Okay y’all I might be the only one lost about this but what is “DS” “DD” and “3Q”
Sorry CFA (fitness!) USNA usually doesn’t let you know if you have the academic Q (unless you have a letter of assurance - then you know).Dear Son, Dear Daughter, triple qualified (academic, CFT, and medical).
