USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

Yes, you get a nice BFE appointment "book" with the official letter on the right side and a montage of USNA pictures on the left side in the mail. Looks good on the shelf and with a selfie. You will also get a link to all the forms to fill out and return (upload) on your CIS portal. One thing to note: you must enlist in the Navy Reserve prior to reporting to NAPS. This is so the Navy can pay you your salary - you will be an E-1. Make sure the Navy enlistment office has an Officer to swear you in - many don't, so ask. It took my DD 4 calls to find one that did have officers assigned - most enlistment offices do not have officers. Get you vax records up to date. Finally, you must fill out a background form from you local law enforcement authorities saying you have no criminal record. Good Luck and welcome aboard.
Congratulations! What did you portal show prior to the appointment?

For being sworn in to the Navy Reserves will they send us the paperwork for the officer to complete or should the officers have them already?

Sworn in? What if you aren’t 18 yet?

You may have to sign something as they are still a minor. Been out of loop a bit, so I'm not sure. But all people that are in service to the country have to take an oath. Standard operating procedure.

Just remember, that it is not anything new. They have people who have not turned 18 get sworn in at all the service academies every year.

Hello all, I was just notified that I got into NAPS. Do I still get a BFE or am I going to get something else?
if you don't mind telling, what were your stats to be appointed to NAPS? I'm waiting and trying to see if I'm around the same area as far as grades go for NAPS.

Of course. I have a 3.5-ish unweighted GPA and a 1210 SAT (560 math/650 reading). I also stacked my schedule with 4 AP courses (and took 4 other AP's in the years before).

That’s like damn near the same as me. I got a 3.7 unweighted and 6 APs total throughout highschool. Little higher SAT to but hopefully I can end up like you. Congrats man.
