USNA Definitive Guide - What are my chances?

LOL I agree with you. While they do crunch some stats, it seems the main purpose of that website is to sell you training/tutoring on how to improve your SAT/ACT scores. Frankly, if someone is not good at math, I don't really care how much tutoring/coaching you get, you probably still won't do well on those standardized tests.

As those of us who actually understand the SA admissions process realize, GPA & SAT/ACT scores are just one of the criteria used by admissions.

Not to mention this doesn't factor in geography, athletics, etc. We all know how much geography can and does play into the Nom process.

^^ Agreed. Many of the comments I read on here sound like people confuse the NOM process which is state/region specific with USNA's process of determining who is 3Q. The same criteria for determining who is 3Q applies to everyone regardless of where you are from or when you submit your application.

2100 SAT and 5.0 GPA (Always ask: 5.0 out of what? 6? 5? 4?)

I know of several kids with 1600 CR and M and 4.0/4.0 who would never make it into any Service Academy. Athletically disqualified, medically disqualified, lack of ECs, lack of xxxxx.

Probably best not to put too much faith in those suggested chances.
