USSF - Space Force Uniforms

Processing…

Is that black over gray? Or the navy blue that is just a snick away from black
? With a white collared shirt and knotted black (?) tie? Is there a little stand-up collar to either side of the white collar?

And please, let someone for once make military uniform pants that work for a woman’s body, though I recognize these are likely prototypes. Guaranteed the horizontal edge of the woman’s blouse (service jacket) falls precisely along the widest part of her rear, unless there is a pointy hem in the back to match the front.

I assume they are trying for a joint, forward-looking, 21st century, non-retro, dissimilar to all current uniforms in the U.S. services, breakthrough look.

Still processing…trying not to do the usual veteran grousing about great uniforms done away with and new uniforms that need to be grumbled about. I am still at the “um…oh my” stage.

Edit: Her pants always fit well, looked comfy, and held up well with good ease of movement in combat situations. You know who I’m gonna attach here. Even the service dress uniform and white mess dress/formal uniforms were tailored and snazzy. You know the comparisons are out there, but…processing.

And I didn't even load up the new enlisted ranks...
(but they're out there...literally and figuratively)

It IS a very dark navy blue! Much better with gray pants. You have to know what you’re doing to pair a black jacket with gray dress pants.

Oh brother...

No doubt the Star Trek influence was strong in these uniform designers.

Way back when Space Command became a thing, I was hoping for silver mylar jump suits and a staff with a laser beam.

So what's the Space Force slogan? Klaatu Borada Nikto?

Maybe they are Kevlar jugular/carotid protectors.
Oops. Sorry. Succumbing to “get off my lawn,” uniform edition.

I actually laughed when I saw these yesterday. They are terrible. I actually didn’t think they were real at first. And you would think when you are doing a big release of these for the media they would tailor the uniforms well to those modeling them.

I don't hate the male uniform, I think the length and cut on the female version is odd. Thus spokith me...

Do I dare ask what their working uniforms will look like if these are the dress uniforms? Guardians of the Galaxy?

Ohhhh nooooo….yikes. So this is similar to the ‘choker whites’ of USNA (not familiar with what’s what with other branches)? I just do t get it. Maybe someday it’ll all seem ‘normal’. And the designer/committee is forward thinking 🤔 ??

The Navy choker whites are a full dress uniform.

I think these are supposed to be everyday service dress.
