VP Nomination

[SA2024 hopeful]

I have received congressional nominations to USAFA and USNA from my local rep, and I am waiting to find out if I get a nomination from my senator for USNA or USMA. I am concerned that I will not get my senator's nomination to USMA, and it has, over time, become my first choice. I applied for the VP nomination to USMA, and I was wondering how competitive the nomination is. I have a 32 ACT and numerous leadership awards.

If USMA was ranked on your senator application, I would contact the senator's academy coordinator and let them know that USMA has become number 1 and why.

@SA2024 hopeful : the VP nom is the most competitive one out there, i think. i believe i read on this site that only 1 person gets it per academy.

The VP has the same number of slots available as any of the MOCs. 5 charged slots at any time per academy. So, it would be an average of 1.25 spots available each year per academy.
