First, I must apologize for the vagueness of this information. My DS is in graduate school and has been handling this situation on his own. He is reticent with info b/c he does not want his parents intervening; however, I need help understanding what is going on and if anything can be done.
Here's the situation: IDS's two-year AROTC scholarship is on hold, awaiting a psych waiver. In early Aug, a remedial was issued; son underwent exam by Concord doctor. Doc submitted paperwork within a few days. Weeks go by without any word on waiver. About a week ago, DS went to cadre to see if anyone could get more information about the hold up. After some digging, cadre person discovered that another person affiliated with cadre (or in cadre) was supposed to forward doc's report to brigade surgeon general. Forwarding happened just last week. DS is panicked b/c last date to contract is Dec. 21. I asked if someone with cadre could not call brigade, explain error, and ask for decision to be expedited. DS didn't think it would be a good idea; he doesn't want to call attention to the fact that someone dropped the ball...
