Waiver Appeal Going Forward

Fortunately, there is a tiny sliver of hope. My appeal looks like it is going forward. From what I have seen on this forum, the waiver authority has trouble with civilian doctor's assessments of the candidates? How can my doctors write letters of endorsement to best convince the waiver authorities that I can attend the academies and be in the military despite my condition? My doctors previously wrote that my conditions would not preclude me from unrestricted military duty/combat arms positions and or contact sports/combatives. Thanks for the help and support in advance!

Probably depends on the condition, which one wouldn't necessarily divulge here.

1. What a civilian doctor thinks will not impact military service versus what a military doctor (who probably has combat experience, BTW), thinks will not impact military service are two separate things. Many of these military doctors have combat arms experience outside of medicine and understand the rigors associated with being a junior officer.
2. Much of the decision making on waivers is dictated by DOD and service policies/regulations. The doctors don’t just make stuff up.
3. The doctors recommend, but the final decisions on waivers is made by others. None of the officers involved enjoy being “dream crushers”.
